For Your Protection - internet Security Q & A
EBNA Bank takes security over the Internet seriously, and has applied a wide range
of security technology and methods to protect the interaction between you and the
Bank.
The following are features that EBNA Bank uses to increase its security:
SECURE CONNECTION & FIREWALLS
As soon as you start the login process to EBNA eBanking, a secured connection is
established between the EBNA eBanking server and your computer, based on the Secure
Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This technology is widely used by financial institutions,
and encodes the data that is exchanged between your computer and EBNA Bank This
encoding, or scrambling, of data is referred to as encryption, and EBNA Bank requires
browsers that support a minimum of 128-bit encryption technology.
You can see that encryption is switched on in Microsoft Internet Explorer when a
small yellow “closed lock” icon which appears in the bottom right hand-side of your
browser.
EBNA eBanking is also protected by firewalls, which are special combinations of
software and computers, designed to prevent unauthorized access to your account
details via the Internet.
YOUR PERSONAL USER ID AND PASSWORD
Your password and login ID are intended to provide security against unauthorized
entry and access to your accounts.
We have established “strong password” criteria. Your password must utilize both
upper and lower case alpha and numeric characters for security purposes. Your password
should not be associated with any commonly known personal identification, such as
